If you want to start or expand a business, we can help. We offer a wide variety of services and resources that can give you the support you need to realize your business vision.

Business Financing

Our financing program is designed to assist in the start-up, expansion and maintenance of small businesses in East Central Alberta. Eligible applicants must make every effort to access financing through conventional means. We cannot lend dollars for goodwill, land or real estate.

Loans are available up to a maximum of $150,000, are negotiated at competitive interest rates and are amortized over a maximum of 5 years.

Loans can be used for:

  • Starting or expanding a business
  • Applying new technology to your business
  • Upgrading facilities and equipment
  • Developing marketing and promotions material
  • Establishing working capital for anticipated sales increases

Eligibility

Applicants seeking financing must:

  • Have a viable business plan and cash flow statements.
  • Be planning to operate their businesses within the East Central region.

All loan applications require Community Futures East Central Alberta board approval.

Business Counseling

We offer business planning assistance and information services to help entrepreneurs create or grow a successful business.

Counselling services include:

  • Business plan assistance and assessment
  • Marketing research assistance
  • Strategic planning
  • Financial projections
  • Program information

Office Resources

We have two CAP Site computers available for use by the public during office hours at a cost of $5.00/month.

We offer a variety of office services for a nominal fee, including:

  • Faxing
  • Photocopying
  • Meeting room rentals
